Spring Bug Boxes

I've been making some new items for my WSOAPP Shoppe. These little bug boxes are so fun for spring. The butterfly boxes have some cottage style tags tucked inside. They all have shimmery shred inside. Please check out my shoppe to see the tags! The link is on the right!

I I'm loving my new felt, its 20% wool and its so fun to work with! I've just added this little bear named Abbie to my Etsy shop, she's all hand sewn and my own pattern. I need to figure out how to use my Adobe so I can offer patterns here and in my shop! Can someone help? I'm pretty computer illiterate! Technically challanged I guess would be a good way to put it! Fun Whimsical Pin Cushions on Etsy

I've been having fun working on these little pin cushions. I wanted to add some smaller items to my Etsy Shop. They each have special little pins that come with them. And there are some really cool buttons on them all vintage, from my stash! I plan to make more and will take orders on custom colors too! Thanks for taking a peek!

A Dog's Life..........

I have dreamt at times of how wonderful it would be to have a dog's life! To chew up toys or laze around with not a care in the world. But then I think I could not sew or create, post to my blog or email friends. I guess I would not change a thing when I really think about it! These are my boys, two pit bulls that we more or less rescued. Miller(top pic) came from Florida flea infested, skin allergies, and skinny as a rail. My son brought Ben home at 3 1/2 weeks old. His little teeth were barely through we soaked his food in milk before feeding him to soften it. They have brought so much joy to our lives and I wouldn't trade them for anything. It makes me sad to think of the pit bulls that are so abused and misunderstood. They are awesome dogs. So we will care for them and give them a good life, and I will continue to create and all is good with the world!!

A SNEAK PEEK

I'm happy to annouce my new Shoppe in WSOAPP's Market Street Shoppe. I'm thrilled to be a part of this group of talented artists. I'ts been awhile since I've belonged to a group site in this way, I'm happy I've finally taken the plunge! This felt kitty is a preview of one of my new items I have several more cuties in this same color scheme that you will have to wait to see on March 7th the date of my new Shoppe opening! We visited our daughter, it was nice!

My daughter Briana was in a play at college this week, we traveled through a darn snow storm to go see "Cinderella". It was so bad a 40 mile section of the road was closed, we took a detour and all was good. The play was wonderful, I'm so glad we went. I brought my camera and wanted to take pictures in costume but that didn't work out so when we picked Briana up this morning I took this of my beautiful daughter in her hall lobby. Can you see she is saying "Oh Mother", she was not thrilled but pacified her dear mother!
Oh did I mention I was able to shop while we visited also.......oh yes that was fun too!

Something New

I've decided to try something different, I'm not sure if this would be considered altered art? I should read up on that! I have used several different mediums in this painting. I've mainly used acrylic paint, but there is also fabric and colored pencils and were used to finish this painting. Then I finished it off with a coat of bees wax for a soft finish. I named this piece "Sisterly Love". I've listed it on ebay for the week. Thanks for visiting my blog. I would love to hear from you.
