It's Blueberry Picking Time!

I spent the evening with my parents picking wild blueberries. Every year we go a couple of times and I try to put up enough for muffins, cakes, and pancakes throughout our long winters here in Northern Michigan. Every year it seems to become a competition to see who can pick the most! Dad is 72 and is slowing down, so now he talks about how many he used to be able to pick! It makes me smile, I usually try to find him a good patch so he can sit in one spot. Mom usually goes off on her own and quietly picks her pail full beating both Dad and myself! These are memories I will always cherish, and hopefully there will be many more Picking days ahead!

Hi Marcy! We are headed to Frankfort, MI on Thurs for my niece's wedding. My husband is thrilled to be in north country! I have to tell you that you are getting two blocks in my Block Party! I always confuse your name with Sally Annie Mcgundy because it reminds me of Raggedy Kinfolk. One block has an "M" on it, the other "Raggedy Kinfolk" - I realized they were one in the same! So clueless, so me! I am so thrilled to see that you love Christmas because one image is snowmen - perfect for UP, and the other has a little car which reminds me of travels to the UP. If you would like to e-mail me your address at elizabeth.andrus@yahoo.com, they will be out to you! I love all of the wonderful things you have found, and your mention of blueberry picking! So fun! Elizabeth

How nice that you will be visiting Michigan this weekend. If you come a little farther north we could go garage saling on Friday! I have finished one block and would like to make you another also. I actually had been thinking of doing two! I'm going to email you my address now. Thanks for visiting!
